London Liberal Democrat Mayoral candidate Brian Paddick is leading calls for Lord Gascoyne-Cecil to lift the threat of closure that  Gaby’s Deli in Soho faces.

Brian has asked the main Mayoral candidates to sign a joint letter to the The Marquess of Salisbury asking him to commit to saving Gaby’s deli, take note of the outpouring of support it has received and put an end to the uncertainty that Gaby and his staff have faced over the past few months. Labour Party candidate Ken Livingstone and Green Party candidate Jenny Jones have signed the letter.

Brian said: “Gaby’s Deli is a much loved local treasure. At a time of crisis for local high streets across London, local businesses like Gaby’s need support. The last thing Londoners need is chain after chain of more of the same.

“I am calling for Lord Gascoyne-Cecil to put an end to the uncertainty that Gaby and his staff continue to face. We must work together to make sure high streets across London remain as diverse and as representative of the communities they serve as possible.”
